Is your website mobile friendly?

Is your website mobile friendly? Google's mobile friendly search algorithm launched on 21st April meaning your site could be penalised.

Google announced an algorithm update that will have a “significant impact” on mobile search results worldwide for mobile searchers. The update improves rankings for sites that provide a mobile-friendly experience to searchers on mobile devices, and by association, demotes sites that do not.

What does this mean, when does it take affect, have they crawled my site yet? The honest answer is we're aren't sure but assume that this is going on as we speak and the Googlebot is crawling around the web.

What can I do? The obvious fix is create a quick dedicated mobile site for the search engines to crawl that renders nicely across all mobile devices. However, as you may have read previously on our blog regarding Responsive Development, this is the natural fix for all sites to be adaptable to all browsing scenarios.

How do I test my site? Check out Google's tool here.
